Using the Desktop
After you logged in, you will see a screen that looks like:
This is the KDE desktop which consists of a few important parts.

The start button. Click this button for a menu from which you can start all the applications you will need. |

The file manage icon. Click this for the file manager which shows your files on the hard disk. |

The terminal (konsole) icon. Click this to open a terminal window. This will be discussed in the next section. |

The desktop navigator buttons. Click these to switch between the four "virtual desktops". Each desktop can contain its own windows. |
When you leave the computer, choose Logout from the start menu.
